SoundFlower
is an AV installation with multiple screens displaying voltage controlled video synthesis video.
Three separate video streams in groups of eight, output on 24 individual screens,
with the audio amplified though the central speaker. The screen array accentuates patterns in the video by way of repetition.
The Sound Flower is designed not merely as means of display but is a crucial element in the perception of the
content by using repetition to accentuate patterns inherent in the material.
With a number of screens are grouped in a circle, a vertical line moving left to right gives the impression it is moving in a circle.
A horizontal line moving vertically has the appearance of a circle decreasing in radius.

Small movements in the change of direction are amplified by the repetition of the image.

This effect not only has more visual impact than a single screen but also helps to accentuate the clear relationship between the
frequency of the tone and the forms in the image.
